Installation of the innovative HIPERCLASSIC® hyperboloid mixers by INVENT Umwelt- und Verfahrenstechnik AG in the anoxic chambers of the Sant Feliu de Llobregat Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). This installation is part of a comprehensive energy efficiency improvement project involving the implementation of 12 units.
The addition of the HIPERCLASSIC® mixers represents a major advancement in wastewater treatment processes, offering numerous advantages:
- Superior Energy Efficiency
Designed to maximize energy transfer to the medium, these mixers enable efficient three-dimensional mixing, reducing energy consumption and minimizing hydraulic losses.
- Homogeneous Mixing in Anoxic Conditions
The mixers' design eliminates dead zones in the chambers, ensuring uniform mixing of biomass and wastewater. This enhances essential biological processes, such as denitrification, improving overall treatment efficiency.
- Durability and Low Maintenance
Constructed from materials highly resistant to corrosion and abrasion, the mixers provide a long service life and require minimal maintenance, optimizing operational costs over the long term.
- Silent Operation and Versatility
With a robust design, the mixers operate quietly, making them ideal for urban installations. Their adaptability also facilitates seamless integration into existing infrastructures, reducing installation times and costs.
- Environmental Sustainability
By lowering energy consumption and enhancing biological processes, HIPERCLASSIC® mixers contribute significantly to reducing the plant's carbon footprint, aligning with sustainable management practices.
PROJECT IMPACT
The installation of HIPERCLASSIC® mixers at the Sant Feliu de Llobregat WWTP not only improves operational efficiency and reduces energy costs but also represents a step forward in achieving more sustainable wastewater treatment. This project underscores the plant’s commitment to technological innovation and resource optimization for the benefit of the environment and the community.
